2012 Shining Star Scholarship Fund Recipient!
Casey Anne Dupelle is a dedicated student, shown in her 3.67 GPA! She is an Ethics and Gender Studies major atWestfield State University, and plans to get her Master's in either Ethics or Queer Studies. Casey Anne is a member of the Queer-Straight Alliance at Westfield State University, where she has received an award for student leadership. As evidence of such leadership skills, Casey Anne has run workshops at the High School Gay Straight Alliance Conference. Besides these endeavors, she also stays involved in Multi-cultural Awareness Diversity Educators, is a TRiO Student Support Service mentor, and participates in various other collegiate activities. She is not only being recognized for her outstanding leadership, but her service to the community as well. In what free time she has, Casey Anne spreads her interests by being an artist and photographer. We are delighted and proud to present this Shining Star scholarship to Casey Anne Dupelle!

2013 Scholarship
The Shining Star Scholarship Fund
A scholarship in the amount of $500 paid directly to an educational institution in order to further the educational opportunities for qualified LGBT youth.
Eligibility requirements
This scholarship is open to any LGBT youth who attends Western MA high school or college, who has shown an interest in pursuing a college education. Candidates must demonstrate a financial need and complete all requirements by the deadline listed below.
Application Requirements
1. Complete an application.
2. Write an Essay regarding your goals, awards and achievements (maximum of 3 pages).
3. Submit a minimum of 2 letters of recommendation, with at least one from an instructor or teacher and one from a supervisor/community organization that you have been involved in.
4. Provide an official school transcript and/or SAT/ACT scores.
5. Provide a digital photograph.
Application Deadline
Applicant must complete the steps outlined above and submit to the Scholarship Committee by
April 30, 2013. Packages must be post-marked no later than April 30, 2013.
