ABOUT
The LGBT Coalition of Western Massachusetts is a 501 (c)(3) organization established to improve and preserve the wellbeing of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Identified people of all races and ethnicities. By offering a multitude of services using innovative advocacy, community outreach programs, referral services, a suicide prevention hotline, amongst many others, The Coalition strives to build stronger communities and families by bridging the gaps that co-exist between members of the LGBT community itself and mainstream society.
Through our education, advocacy and outreach programs, we will heighten awareness of LGBT issues while paying special attention to the needs of our diverse population.
In addition, there will be a special focus on the LGBT people of color, who are often marginalized within the LGBT group itself due to cultural bias and other various differences.
We can effectively target the large number of families who struggle to understand the needs of their LGBT family members and friends with the help of our diverse staff.
