The LGBT Coalition of Western Massachusetts is a non-profit organization established to improve and preserve the well-being of LGBT and Queer-identified people of all races and ethnicities through education, advocacy and outreach programs.
The Coalition strives to build stronger communities and families by bridging the gaps between LGBT members and mainstream society.
While approximately 3 to 5 percent of the total U.S. population identifies as gay or lesbian, up to 40 percent of 1.6 million youth who run away or are homeless each year identify as LGBT. In other words, LGBT youth are grossly overrepresented in the homeless youth population. Learn More ...
